Airplanes & Spoons

I'm going to warn you. I didn't take a single picture during our Thanksgiving supper. :( I completely forgot my camera at home and was too lazy to run back down the street to get it. Sorry. But here's a few pics from the past week.
Usually in the morning, I'll start a DVD for Gibson to watch while I take a shower. It's my 20 minutes of quiet time for the day. :) When I got in the shower, he was wearing long sleeve pajamas. Here's how I found Gibson when I got out of the shower. Shorts, Blue Clues jacket, sitting in his Elmo chair in the laundry basket. Crazy Kid!
Jason & I bought him a airplane at the Tinsels & Tidings craft show last weekend. It was supposed to be for Christmas but it certainly looks like he scammed us into keeping it now. He loves it!
Gibson helping Daddy play video games
Showing you where Sissy (aka Missy, Jason's partner at work) sits in the ambulance
Ambulance (on his shirt if you can't tell)! (Cue Gibson screeching the sirens)
Finally, the funniest pictures of the week.

Some of Jason's family stopped in Paris on their way home Monday and ate brunch at Denny's with Gibson & Jason. To keep Gibson entertained, Cousin Haley taught him how to stick a spoon on his nose.
Thanks Haley! You did a good job!

He's soooo proud of himself when he gets it to stay.
Did I mention he thinks it is hilarious!

Look Mom! No Hands!
This talent runs on the Dyess side of the family!
Can you believe the kid can do this?
He even tried sticking the spoon on Daisy's nose. Poor tortured Daisy!
Once I convinced him that the spoon wouldn't stick on Daisy's nose, Dr. Jeckel and Mr. Hyde came out of my child! He actually threw the spoon at me! I was kind of in shock but Jason grabbed him, spanked his bottom and sat him in the corner. He always looks so sad but sweet when he gets in trouble.

And finally here's a short video! (Sorry it's so dark. It didn't look that dark when I was videoing him. I'll know better next time.) We've been working with Gibson teaching him how to spell his name. He can really do it a lot better now than he can just a few days ago when the video was shot. Enjoy!

OK...here's the last one! A short (but sweet) shout-out to Nana & Poppy!

I am loving the spoon thing! Haley can hold it on her nose for a very long time and it looks like Gibson has gotten the talent from her! It probably helps that almost all the Dyess's have the same pug nose! Talk to you later
