A Day at the Beach

The vacation saga continues....
On Monday last week, we decided to venture to the beach. Of course, I never thought about having to drive over a bridge to get there. So below is a pic of the bridge that we drove over! Yikes!!! I hate bridges! Especially really high and long ones! I'm not a big fan of North Carolina because of my fear of bridges! It feels like there's a bridge about every 20 miles. I sucked it up and tried not to whine too much. :( Here's Jason & Gibson walking down the boardwalk to the beach!
Gibson hated the sand! He didn't like it getting on his feet which was pretty much impossible to prevent. You could put him down in the sand and he would stay in one spot the entire time. We've decided to take a box of sand everywhere we go to put Gibson in so we don't have to worry about him running off. :)

Here's Nana trying to convince Gibson to get down in the sand.

He was in awe of the water! He thought it was funny that the waves came up, hit the beach and then disappeared.
Nana cleaning the sand off poor little Gibson's feet!
Gibson wearing Nana's shades!
Can you tell I played in the sand?

We finally got him to walk with Jason down the beach! He laughed like crazy when the waves hit his feet. But if they got much higher than that, he started to panic. He's finished walking...now he wants his shoes so the sand doesn't touch his feet!
After a long day of playing at the beach, he was out for the count! Poor baby barely made it to the bed!

To be continued...at the battleship!
